By special request, a photo of my Halloween costume (made out of a bedsheet).

Sadly, I had to explain to some people who Jane Austen was.

Tell me you are joking about people not knowing Jane Austen! Even if someone hasn't read the novels, all those movies and miniseries ... Why, there is even an action figure.

(Lovely costume, btw. But more Jane Bennet than Jane Austen?)

Yeah, it's a bit pastelish, but beggars can't be choosers.

And people hadn't heard of her. Hopefully the action figure will change all that though.
